San Mateo

The City of San Mateo is located south of San Francisco in the Silicon Valley tech hub. Some of the biggest economic drivers for the city include technology, health care and education. San Mateo is a thriving community with a charming and flourishing downtown area known for its historical buildings and innovative restaurants, including the upscale, state-of-the-art, large shopping area in Hillsdale Shopping Center. The city is also home to the College of San Mateo, the county’s largest community college.

Just west of the city lies Crystal Springs Reservoir with miles of open space and trails, while San Mateo's section of the San Francisco Bay Trail features the Coyote Point Recreation Area, which offers picnic areas, waterfront paths, boat launches, and a playground perfect for families!
