Redwood Shores

Redwood Shores is a waterfront community in Redwood City. It was built up from reclaimed land in the marshes of San Francisco Bay in the 1960s, much like its neighbor, Foster City, but the development almost never came to be. There is not much going on for restaurants, bars and shopping but it's a great and safe place to live. It even has easy access during rush hour. Residents appreciate the serenity of their setting, as well as its abundance of jogging trails, bicycle paths, waterways and the beautiful, 76-acre Redwood Shores Lagoon..

DID YOU KNOW?

Marine World/Africa USA was an animal theme park located in the Redwood Shores area of Redwood City, California. The park was named Marine World when it first opened in 1968 before merging with the failing land-animal park called Africa USA in 1972.

HOUSING and REAL ESTATE CURRENT MARKET

Although this community provides several townhome, condominium, and apartment complexes, Redwood Shores is mainly populated with single-family residences, many of which are waterfront homes that include private boat docks. The tranquil surroundings and rich, abundant offerings of this scenic locale give Redwood Shores a unique appeal that very few other communities enjoy.
